OPT 4 Green Conservation Board
The OPT 4 Green Youth Conservation board is an organization dedicated to helping the world realize what OPTing for a greener future can do. Our goal is to get students from different parts of the world to dedicate themselves to preserving our planet by reducing the Carbon Footprint of their communities, and raising awareness of environmental hazards. We believe that by working as a team we can all change because we don’t make green, we make green better.
The Carbon Footprint is a measure of the amount of carbon dioxide emissions that can be attributed to an organization, product, or individual. The youth board will improve the Carbon Footprint of their communities through education, outreach programs, public demonstrations, and by improving their own green practices.
Holcim, our largest sponsor, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of cement and mineral components. Their facilities produce cement, mortar, and clinker kiln dust as final products for sale. Holcim is an international company with offices in South America, North America, Asia, Europe, and Africa.
